August Bergman, M.D., Scholarship Recipients Announced

The Nemaha County STEP Foundation is excited to announce the 2023 recipients of the August Bergman, M.D., Scholarship. August Bergman, M.D., has been a supporter of the local community foundation for many years. He previously established the Elizabeth Bergman Memorial Scholarship and gave generously to start the B&B Legacy (Challenge) Scholarship.

Scholarship recipients, receiving $1,000 each are Kristi Edelman of Sabetha High School and Sophie Schumacher and Jillian Stueve both of Nemaha Central High School.

Kristi Edelman is the daughter of David and Sheri Edelman and plans to attend Washburn University majoring in nursing. Sophie Schumacher is the daughter of Rebecca Christensen. Sophie plans to attend Kansas State University majoring in business. Jillian Stueve is the daughter of Terry and Angie Stueve. She plans to attend Wichita State University majoring in forensic science. Congratulations to the 2023 August Bergman, M.D., Scholarship recipients.
